After <a href=\"https:\/\/turkishfluent.com\/blog\/the-numbers-in-turkish\/\">learning the numbers<\/a>, here\u2019s a detailed guide to telling time in Turkish.<em> Iyi okumalar!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Asking and telling the time in Turkish<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Turkish, to ask &#8220;what time is it?&#8221;, you say: <strong>&#8220;Saat ka\u00e7?&#8221;<\/strong>. There are different ways of giving the time in Turkish, regarding if it you are talking about full hours, half hours or something in between. To answer, you also add <strong>the locative suffix<\/strong> (-da, -de, -ta, -te) to the time. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Saat ka\u00e7ta yemek yiyorsun?<\/em> \u2014 At what time do you eat?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Saat \u00fc\u00e7te yemek yiyorum.<\/em> \u2014 I eat at 3 o&#8217;clock.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are different ways of answering &#8220;At what time&#8221; (Saat ka\u00e7ta?) in Turkish:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Tam Saatler (Full Hours)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>09:00<\/strong> &#8211; Saat dokuzda uyan\u0131yorum. (I wake up at 9 o&#8217;clock.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>10:00<\/strong> &#8211; Saat onda du\u015f al\u0131yorum. (I take a shower at 10 o&#8217;clock.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>14:00<\/strong> &#8211; Saat ikide k\u00f6pe\u011fimi y\u00fcr\u00fcy\u00fc\u015fe \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131yorum. (I take my dog for a walk at 2 o&#8217;clock.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Bu\u00e7uk (HaldfHours)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>09:30<\/strong> &#8211; Saat dokuz bu\u00e7ukta meditasyon yap\u0131yorum. (I meditate at 9:30.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>17:30<\/strong> &#8211; Saat be\u015f bu\u00e7ukta T\u00fcrk kahvesi i\u00e7iyorum. (I drink Turkish coffee at 17:30.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>19:30<\/strong> &#8211; Saat yedi bu\u00e7ukta tenis oynuyorum.
