It is the equivalent of the English simple present tense, used in sentences like \u201cI go to work every day\u201d (<em>&#8220;Her g\u00fcn i\u015fe giderim.&#8221;<\/em>).<br><br>However, keep in mind that <a href=\"https:\/\/turkishfluent.com\/blog\/the-present-continuous-in-turkish-simdiki-zaman\/\">the present continuous tense<\/a> is much more commonly used in spoken language. We rarely use the present simple tense in conversation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can express the present simple tense in four ways: positive, negative,\u00a0positive question and negative question. How to Form the Present Simple Tense in Turkish<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The formation of the present simple tense depends on the <strong>verb root<\/strong> and the <strong>ending of the verb<\/strong>. and &#8220;olmak&#8221; often combine with other words to create compound verbs, such as &#8220;seyretmek,&#8221; &#8220;bahsetmek,&#8221; &#8220;kaybolmak,&#8221; and &#8220;affolmak.&#8221; These compound verbs should be treated as if &#8220;etmek&#8221; or &#8220;olmak&#8221; were separate.
